What does 𗆏 mean?
𗆏 is a Tangut character; its shape alone cannot reveal its meaning.
Tangut writing records the Tangut language and is separate from Chinese, though its forms drew on Chinese writing conventions. These characters are not pictures that spell out an English word; reading them depends on knowledge of Tangut.
The Tangut script was created in 1036 by imperial order for state correspondence and Buddhist translation. It later appeared in legal, Confucian, military, and literary texts; the latest known inscription dates to 1502. Its design also drew on the earlier Khitan script, another writing system, while remaining distinct.
A historical-script character for Tangut texts, scholarship, or type design.

Questions people ask
2Is 𗆏 Chinese?
No. It belongs to the Tangut script. Tangut writing borrowed conventions from Chinese but has its own characters and readings.
Why does 𗆏 show as a box?
The font or app may lack Tangut support. Noto Serif Tangut includes Tangut glyphs; a box is a missing outline, not evidence that the encoded character changed.
