What 𗇸 means
𗇸 means “daylight” or “daytime” in Tangut. Tangut was a language written in its own script. The script can look Chinese in style, but it is separate; Chinese readers may recognize the visual style without being able to read this Tangut word.
The Tangut script was created around 1036 to support the Western Xia government and a Tangut Buddhist canon—a collection of Buddhist writings. It also carried laws, official documents, and translated literature. The earliest documented source cited for 𗇸 is Tóngyīn, a 12th-century dictionary that groups words with the same pronunciation.
After the script fell out of use, dictionaries and digital text preserved its characters. Tangut writing also drew on Chinese models and state-script traditions of the Khitan, a neighboring people.

If font fallback shows a square or blank, the font may lack Tangut coverage; it is not another character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗇸 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
