tangut ideograph-1722b

Tangut Character 1722B

556/6136

𗈫 is a Tangut character with no settled English gloss as of 2026; reconstructed readings are scholars’ inferred pronunciations, not translations. Created in 1036 for the Western Xia kingdom, Tangut writing served its administration and translated Buddhist texts. Its design followed Khitan script-making and drew on Chinese writing. Medieval manuscripts survive at Khara-Khoto; written Tangut continued after the kingdom fell in 1227, with the last known example dated 1502.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
