What 𗊠 means
The Unicode label identifies the glyph, not the Tangut word.
The Tangut script was created in 1036 as part of Western Xia state-building. Its visual principles drew on Chinese writing, but it served the separate Tangut language and a written identity distinct from Song China. The Khitan, a neighboring people, had developed scripts before 1036. Tangut writing carried government and cultural texts: Buddhist scriptures, Confucian teachings, encyclopedias, military treatises, and literature.
After Mongol forces conquered Western Xia in 1227, Tangut Buddhist and printed materials continued into the Yuan period.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗊠 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
