What 𗋼 means
It means “foam” in Tangut.
It is a word-sign, not a picture of foam. Tangut was created about 1036 CE under Western Xia’s first emperor for official and cultural writing.
𗋼 is entry 35.161 in Wén Hǎi, a Tangut dictionary compiled in the mid-12th century.
Is 𗋼 Chinese?
No; it belongs to the separate Tangut writing system.
Tangut characters can resemble Chinese characters, but resemblance alone does not establish a shared reading or meaning.
Tangut writing continued under Yuan and Ming rule, then became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. Some fonts lack Tangut coverage, so the glyph may appear as a box.
Historical and specialist.
A Chinese-looking shape does not give it a Chinese reading.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗋼 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
