What 𗎑 means

Its reconstructed reading is not an English translation.

Li Fanwen gives *mur²; other systems spell it differently. The asterisk marks a scholarly reconstruction.

Its earliest surviving record is in a Tangut book organized by sound from the 12th century.

Why was Tangut writing created?

To build a state, preserve Buddhist texts, and express Tangut identity.

Li Yuanhao ordered the script in 1036 to support his state and a Buddhist canon.

Later works include Buddhist scriptures, Chinese translations, and secular texts. Tangut writing drew on Chinese models and followed neighboring Khitan scripts; neither connection establishes this character’s meaning.

Historical and specialist; it belongs to Tangut writing.

A square glyph may mean your font cannot display Tangut; the character itself is unchanged.

Why does 𗎑 show as a box on some devices?

Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
