What 𗐊 means
It means “numerous”: many or plentiful.
The Tangut dictionary glosses 𗐊 as “numerous.” Writing in Tangut began around 1036 as the Western Xia, a kingdom ruled by Tangut people, built a distinct written identity and a Buddhist canon—a collection of sacred Buddhist texts—in its language.
Tangut was used for Buddhist, Chinese, Tibetan, and nonreligious texts. An inscription at Juyong Pass, a mountain pass, is dated 1345; a Tangut pillar in Baoding is dated 1502, showing the script remained in use long after Western Xia fell. Its design drew on Chinese and probably Khitan traditions; the Khitans were another people in the region, and Tangut remained a distinct script.

If it arrives alone, start with its dictionary reading: “numerous.”

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗐊 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𗐊\1740AWhy is 𗐊 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
