What 𗐳 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “fort.”
A lone glyph gives no sender’s intent; read the surrounding message.
Tangut, not Chinese
Li Yuanhao ordered Tangut writing to give Xixia (Western Xia) its own official script. A court record dated 1071 is the earliest firmly dated Tangut text. Tangut carried Buddhist works and Chinese books translated for Tangut readers. Its square forms echo Chinese writing; neighboring Khitan rulers also made scripts.
A historical Tangut word, not an emoji.
A box means the display font cannot draw this glyph; it is not another form.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗐳 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
