What 𗔨 means
Its recorded gloss is “to wrap, wind around, or entangle.”
The Tangut script developed around 1036 to write Tangut, the language of the medieval Western Xia state in northwest China. Drawing on Chinese writing traditions, it remained a distinct script. It served government documents and Buddhist translations. Buddhist writing on stone pillars dated 1502 shows that use continued after Western Xia fell.
A font with Tangut support is required; without one, 𗔨 may be missing or shown as a box, and glyph shapes vary between fonts.
Chinese influence describes the script’s model, not the language this character writes.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗔨 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
