What 𗕨 means
Li Fanwen’s 2008 dictionary lists it under “to love.” The Unicode chart links this glyph to Tangut entry 1373; treat this as a brief gloss.
Western Xia’s first emperor established the Tangut script around 1036 for government, state identity, and Buddhist texts. One early record of 𗕨 is in the mid-12th-century Sea of Writing, a Tangut dictionary grouping entries by their rhyming sounds.
Tangut followed Khitan state scripts and drew on Chinese writing traditions, yet remained separate. Yuan and Ming texts include Buddhist translations, official records, and secular works.
Use it in historical Tangut texts or specialist references.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗕨 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
