Tangut Ideograph 175BA

1467/6136

𗖺 is a Tangut character glossed as “to lick.” Tangut writing was created around 1036 to support the state of Western Xia (Xixia) and Buddhist translation; its forms drew on Chinese writing and the Khitan script, another historical East Asian writing system. It continued under the Yuan and Ming dynasties before falling out of use. Tangut is its own script.

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
