What 𗘵 means
A sorrowful sigh.
In scholar Li Fanwen’s Tangut–Chinese dictionary, entry 1124 has the reconstructed reading djọ and the Chinese gloss 衰. The gloss translates the sense; it is not the Tangut reading.
An official Tangut document dated 1072 is among the earliest transmitted examples. The script drew on Chinese and Khitan writing traditions but remained distinct. Tangut writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; the latest known inscription dates to 1502.
