What 𗙘 means
It means “man” in Tangut.
“Chinese or Tangut?” This is Tangut: a separate script shaped partly by Chinese writing; the Khitan people’s scripts were another earlier regional writing tradition.
Li Yuanhao commissioned the script in 1036; Yeli Renrong is associated with implementing it. The script served the Xixia (Western Xia) state’s records, Buddhist translations, classics and literature. The earliest known surviving text is an official record from 1072; that does not date this glyph’s first use. Tangut writing continued after Xixia fell in 1227, with an inscription dated 1502.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗙘 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
