What 𗚀 means
A Tangut–Chinese dictionary pairs it with 盒, “box.” This is a short translation clue, not a Chinese reading of the character.
Is Tangut writing Chinese?
No. Chinese writing influenced it, but it was made for Tangut. Li Yuanhao ordered Tangut writing in 1036. One likely aim was a Tangut Buddhist canon, a collection of sacred texts; a native script also marked an identity distinct from the neighboring Song state in China. Surviving texts include state documents and Chinese classics translated into Tangut. After Western Xia fell to the Mongols in 1227, Tangut remained in use under the Yuan and Ming dynasties in China; it became obsolete by the end of Ming rule.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗚀 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
