What 𗚿 means
It is glossed as “branch” in Tangut.
The Unicode Tangut chart links 𗚿 to dictionary entry 4109, whose index glosses it as “branch.” “Tangut Ideograph-176BF” is a catalog label, not a translation.
The Tangut script was created under Western Xia’s first emperor around 1036 CE to write Tangut, a Tibeto-Burman language in the wider Sino-Tibetan family, spoken in present-day northwestern China. Its square, component-built characters resemble Chinese writing, but it is a separate script. After Western Xia fell to the Mongols, Tangut writing continued during the Yuan and Ming dynasties and became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
