What 𗝉 means

It names a kind of bamboo in Tangut.

Tangut script drew design cues from Chinese writing and Khitan, a separate historical script; 𗝉 is a Tangut word.

The Western Xia empire developed Tangut writing around 1037 for state and cultural work. Buddhist translations, legal texts, and manuscripts from the mid-11th to early 13th centuries preserve it. After the Mongol conquest, everyday use faded; later bilingual glossaries enabled study. The latest known inscription dates to 1502.
