What 𗞿 means
Its Unicode label isn't a translation.
Tangut dictionaries identify this exact glyph as L4288 in Li Fanwen’s Tangut-Chinese dictionary and #924 in Gerard Clauson’s Skeleton Tangut index. These are lookup numbers; they help you find the entries, while the surrounding text helps settle the character’s sense.
The Tangut script drew on Chinese writing and Khitan, another historical script in the region. It served state, religious, legal, and literary writing. The script dates to around 1037; the latest known Tangut inscription is dated 1502.
Why does 𗞿 look different on different screens?
Fonts can change this glyph’s visible strokes.
Unicode’s chart shows a reference shape, not a required design, so Tangut fonts can draw different stroke details for the same encoded character.
On Windows 10, a browser may need a Tangut font installed and selected. If 𗞿 appears as an empty box, check font support before treating it as an encoding error.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗞿 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
