What 𗣛 means
It represents Chinese writing in a different script.
A Tangut–Chinese dictionary records it for the surname 高 (Gao); manuscripts also use it for 勾. Its reconstructed reading is written kew in scholarly Latin-letter notation.
Tangut script was developed around 1036 for the Western Xia kingdom’s government, Buddhist translations, and a distinct written identity. The earliest transmitted example is an official document from 1072. Writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227; an inscription from 1502 shows later use.
Historical and specialist, found in Tangut texts.
Do not substitute it for 高 or 勾 in Chinese; they are different characters.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗣛 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
