What 𗣫 means

The wordbook’s gloss is simply “small.”

The Tangut script was created under Western Xia’s first emperor around 1036 to write the Tangut language of northwestern China. It marked the state’s independence from Song China and enabled Buddhist scripture translations. Though inspired by Chinese writing, it was not derived from it. Tangut remained in use under the Yuan and Ming after Western Xia fell; it was obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. Surviving works include Buddhist and secular texts.
