What 𗫿 means
It means “shell” in Tangut.
A Tangut dictionary’s English index gives 𗫿 the gloss “shell.”
Tangut writing was created for the Tangut language under the first Western Xia emperor about 1036. It served official and private records, religious texts, inscriptions, and manuscripts. Writing continued after Western Xia fell and became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
Tangut characters have square forms shaped by a Chinese-influenced writing tradition, but Tangut is a distinct script.
Why does 𗫿 look different in different fonts?
Fonts can draw the same Tangut character differently.
Unicode charts show a representative glyph, not a required font outline, so typefaces can render 𗫿 differently.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗫿 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
