What 𗮰 means
“Liver” in Tangut.
Tangut was spoken in Western Xia, a kingdom in northwestern China. 𗮰 writes the body-organ word; it is not an emoji reaction.
If it displays as a blank box, the font may not contain Tangut glyphs.
Tangut writing outlived its kingdom
Created around 1036, Tangut writing served the Western Xia court and marked its distinct identity. Its square forms were modeled on Chinese writing, but it records another language.
Scholars can read it from preserved Tangut dictionaries.
A literal Tangut word, with no built-in chat tone.
A bare 𗮰 means “liver”; do not treat it as a reaction.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗮰 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
