What 𗮺 means
It means “lung.”
Tangut was the language of the medieval Western Xia kingdom. The Western Xia court commissioned Tangut writing in 1036 for state-building and a distinct written identity. Its design drew visual and structural inspiration from Chinese characters and followed the example of neighboring Khitan rulers, who had their own scripts. Surviving Tangut books include Buddhist works and translations from Chinese; Tangut Buddhist texts also survive from after Mongol forces ended the kingdom in 1227.
