What 𗰃 means
It means “salt” in Tangut.
Western Xia created the Tangut script around 1036 for government, Buddhist texts, and a distinct Tangut identity. A Guazhou document dated 1070/1071 may be the earliest known dated example.
Before Tangut, the Khitan people had made scripts for their language. Tangut writing drew on Chinese writing principles but stayed a separate script. It appears in Buddhist and nonreligious texts and inscriptions; pillars from 1502 are the latest known use. Without a Tangut-capable font, 𗰃 may appear as a box.
Historical and specialist; a word in Tangut writing, not a general-purpose chat sign.
If the salt meaning matters, say it plainly; don’t assume the recipient knows Tangut.

1Why does 𗰃 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
