What 𗱟 means
A Tangut dictionary translates it as “bird.” That brief dictionary translation is called a gloss.
Tangut writing was developed under Western Xia around 1036 for government and translation, including Buddhist texts; its use also distinguished the state from Song China. The earliest known witness is an official document dated 1072. Writing continued after Western Xia fell in 1227, including on a Buddhist inscription dated 1502.
Historical-script reference, not a reliably readable way to say “bird.”
Don’t assume the recipient reads Tangut.

1Why does 𗱟 show as a box on my phone?
It can. The phone or app needs a font with Tangut coverage; in 2025, some mobile apps failed to render pasted Tangut text correctly.
