What 𗵙 means
Its dictionary gloss is “copulation.”
The script was created under Western Xia’s first emperor around 1036 to write Tangut, a language spoken in what is now northwestern China from about the 11th through the 16th century. Its use continued under the Yuan and Ming after Western Xia fell; Buddhist texts are among the surviving records, and the script was obsolete by the end of Ming rule.
