What 𗸚 means
Li Fanwen’s Tangut-Chinese dictionary glosses it as “thin.”
The Tangut script was commissioned in 1036 by Western Xia’s emperor for the Tangut language, then promoted as the state’s national script. Its square brush strokes echo Chinese writing, but Tangut reshapes them instead of copying whole Chinese characters. It served government and diplomacy and carried Chinese classics and Buddhist sutras. After Western Xia fell to the Mongols in 1227, use continued under the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty: a collection of Buddhist scriptures was completed in 1302, and a Tangut Buddhist inscription dated 1502 survives.

fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
