What 𗹞 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as an insect name. The entry identifies a name for an insect, rather than a general word for every kind of bug.
Around 1036, the Western Xia state established Tangut writing for government use and Buddhist translation. A surviving document dated around 1070/1071 may be the earliest known dated Tangut writing. The script appears in Buddhist, official, private, legal and literary texts, and continued under Yuan and Ming rule before becoming obsolete.
Is 𗹞 Chinese or Tangut?
It is Tangut, not Chinese. Tangut is a separate writing system. Its square characters use stroke conventions also found in Chinese writing, which explains the resemblance, but its words and character system are its own.
Do not guess its meaning from its shape or substitute a Chinese character. By itself, it is best read as a sample of Tangut writing or a font check.
Historical and specialist; alone in a post, it reads like a sample of Tangut writing or a font check.
Its Chinese-influenced shape does not make it a Chinese character.
