What 𗹣 means
The Tangut gloss is “room.”
Li Yuanhao ordered the Tangut script in 1036 as Xixia sought independence from China’s Song dynasty. It likely served to translate Buddhist scripture. Its forms drew on Chinese writing but were not derived from it; neighboring Khitan people had also developed scripts.
An undated fragment from Khara Khoto’s ruins, probably from the 12th or early 13th century, translates lost Chinese stories as dialogues between Emperor Taizong and his ministers. Other Tangut books include Buddhist and Confucian works, law, and literature; the latest known Tangut inscription dates to 1502.

1Why does 𗹣 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
