What 𗺁 means

It is a Tangut entry for the Chinese surname 解.

Line 48 of Grains of Gold Placed in the Palm (Golden Guide), a Tangut verse text, lists Chinese surnames; 𗺁 matches 解, romanized Xie.

In 1036, Western Xia introduced Tangut writing for the Tangut language and state use; official Yeli Renrong is credited with its design. Chinese writing influenced its visual style, but the scripts remain distinct. After Western Xia ended, Tangut texts continued; pillar inscriptions from 1502 are the latest known examples.

Why does 𗺁 show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
