What 𗼜 means
It means “benefit.” In the Buddhist phrase 𘞙𗼜, the two characters together translate Chinese 利益 or 饒益 (“benefit”).
Where did Tangut writing begin?
It was introduced for Western Xia in 1036. Tangut writing served state-building and Buddhist translation. A Khara-Khoto fragment probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century; the recorded span is 1036–1502.
The script borrowed design ideas from Chinese characters but records a separate language. Chinese readers could not simply read a Tangut text as Chinese.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗼜 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
