What 𗽅 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “steep.” Unicode’s chart links it to Li Fanwen’s dictionary entry 2685.
In 1036, Western Xia rulers ordered Tangut writing for state-building and Buddhist texts. Chinese writing and the Khitan script, another regional writing system, shaped it, but Tangut remained its own language and script. Tangut texts also included secular translations from Chinese; a manuscript found at Khara-Khoto probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century. Modern scholars study Tangut, and type designers make digital fonts for it.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𗽅 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
