What 𘂜 means
Han or Chinese. The bilingual glossary Pearl in the Palm pairs 𘂜 with Chinese 漢, meaning “Han/Chinese.”
Tangut writing was commissioned around 1036 for Western Xia, including its Buddhist canon and a separate state identity alongside Song China. It continued under the Yuan and Ming, becoming obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.
𘂜 is Tangut; 漢 is the Chinese character given for its reading.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘂜 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
