What 𘄖 means
Its recorded Chinese gloss is 残: “remaining” or “damaged.”
Li Fanwen’s Tangut dictionary lists entry 0710 with the reconstructed reading “du,” roughly like English “doo.” “Tangut Ideograph-18116” is an identifying Unicode label, not a translation of the word.
The script was created for the Tangut language of the Western Xia state and appears in Buddhist and legal texts. Comparisons with Chinese and Khitan scripts concern the wider tradition; they do not establish this character’s ancestry.
