What 𘄡 means
𘄡 means “wisdom.” A scholarly reconstruction of its Tangut pronunciation is written 2seq₄; Li Fanwen’s dictionary lists it as entry L2008-1771. It also appears in a Tangut Buddhist name with this sense.
Tangut writing was commissioned under Western Xia rule, a medieval state in what is now northwest China, for official and cultural use, including Buddhist texts translated from Chinese and Tibetan. Its documented span is 1036–1502; that dates the script, not the first surviving use of this character.
It belongs in historical and scholarly writing.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘄡 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
