What 𘅐 means
It means “thatched shed” in Tangut.
The Tangut script took shape around 1036 under Western Xia’s first emperor. Its earliest surviving document is an official record dated 1072.
It carried state records and Buddhist translations. After Western Xia fell in 1227, Tangut writing continued; a later stone inscription was erected in 1502.

Questions people ask
2Is 𘅐 Chinese?
No. It belongs to Tangut, a separate script for another language. Its square forms resemble Chinese writing, but the degree of direct historical influence is debated.
Why does 𘅐 appear as a box?
Your font or app may lack Tangut coverage. A box or blank means it cannot draw the glyph, not that the character is empty.
