What 𘆴 means
Its dictionary gloss is “bridle.” A Tangut–Chinese dictionary pairs Tangut entries with Chinese equivalents; here, the word means the headgear used to guide a horse. The glyph’s square shape does not reveal that meaning.
Tangut is a separate script for the Tangut language. Its compact, square signs can resemble Chinese characters, but Tangut and Chinese are unrelated writing systems. Surviving examples include dictionaries, inscriptions, manuscripts, printed books, and Buddhist sutras.
Some Tangut sources record alternate glyph shapes, and fonts may display this character with different outlines. A changed outline alone does not mean it is a different encoded character.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘆴 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
