What 𘊦 means
It is glossed as “even” in Tangut. Li Fanwen’s Tangut–Chinese dictionary lists this exact glyph as entry 3921; Unicode maps 𘊦 to that entry. “Even” is an English gloss for a Tangut word, not a Chinese reading.
The Tangut script was created around 1036 under Western Xia, also called Xixia, to write the Tangut language. It appeared in official records, private texts, and Buddhist works. After Western Xia fell, it remained in use under Yuan and Ming rule before becoming obsolete. Chinese writing influenced its design, but Tangut is a distinct script.
In a modern message, 𘊦 points to Tangut study or a historical-text context, not everyday Chinese.
If it appears as a box, your font may lack Tangut support; the encoded character is still 𘊦.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘊦 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.

𘊦\182A6Why is 𘊦 a box on my screen?
fsymbols draws rare signs with its own fonts, so they show here even where your device has none. An app or website without such a font shows an empty box (□) or a question mark instead. Turn our fonts off to see each sign as your device draws it by itself: a box here means a box in your chats and documents too.
