What 𘌍 means
Yeast used to make wine.
Is 𘌍 Chinese?
No. It is Tangut, a separate script.
The Tangut script was created around 1036 for Western Xia state-building and Buddhist translation. Its forms can resemble Chinese characters, but Tangut followed neighboring Khitan writing as a model while remaining distinct from Chinese. Tangut writing continued into the Yuan and Ming periods before becoming obsolete.
Specialist and historical; this character belongs to the study of Tangut texts.
Its resemblance to Chinese writing does not make it Chinese.
