What 𘎕 means
It is glossed “maggot” in Tangut.
Li Fanwen’s 2008 Tangut dictionary records it as entry 5338.
Tangut was created around 1036 under Western Xia rule, drawing on Chinese and Khitan models. Later texts included official, legal, Confucian, military, and literary works. Use continued after Western Xia. A surviving manuscript probably dates to the 12th or early 13th century; the latest known inscription is from 1502. These dates describe the script, not this character’s first appearance.
