What 𘏭 means
The exact English gloss remains disputed.
Li Fanwen’s dictionary index glosses 5592 as a “steelyard,” a balance with a sliding weight; another Tangut-studies reading gives “ore” from Chinese 礦, but says the Tangut word may be narrower.
Emperor Li Yuanhao ordered the Tangut (Xixia) script around 1036 for Western Xia state-building and Buddhist texts. It drew on Chinese writing without deriving from it; neighboring Khitan scripts came a century earlier. It continued during the Yuan and Ming dynasties and was obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘏭 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
