What 𘐅 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “stupid.”
Aimed at a person, that is insulting. Sent alone, the glyph cannot show whether someone is quoting it or calling you stupid; ask for context.
When was Tangut writing created?
Western Xia created it around 1036 for state records.
The earliest surviving example is an official document from 1072. Tangut writing carried books, translations, and Buddhist texts; it continued after Western Xia fell and became obsolete by the end of the Ming dynasty. A 1190 preface to a Tangut-Chinese dictionary says the scripts differed in form but shared roots. Scholars debate possible influence from the earlier Khitan script of a neighboring state.
A blunt word that can insult when aimed at a person.
Translate it if you mean it as an insult.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘐅 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
