What 𘗡 means
A Tangut dictionary glosses it as “house.”
The Wénhǎi (“Sea of Writing”), a Tangut dictionary, records it in a two-character entry from the 12th century. The Tangut script was created around 1036 for the Western Xia kingdom in northwestern China, partly to write Buddhist scripture and mark a distinct state identity.
Chinese writing influenced Tangut’s visual style and character-building rules; neighboring Khitan states had already created scripts for their own language. Tangut characters write Tangut, not Chinese. The script carried official texts, Buddhist works, and translations of Chinese classics and literature; its use continued after the Western Xia fell.
Read it as Tangut text, not as an emoji reaction.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𘗡 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Tangut block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
