What 𘝣 means
It means “muddy” or “turbid” in Tangut.
The Tangut script, also called the Xixia script, drew on Chinese writing and the older script of the neighboring Khitan people. Western Xia made it official by decree in 1036 for state administration and Buddhist translations. The mid-12th-century Sea of Characters, a Tangut rhyming dictionary, links 𘝣 to 𗒊 (“dirt”) with its top removed, perhaps as a mnemonic. Tangut writing survived the dynasty.
