What 󠆆 means
Only a registered base-selector pair can request a specific glyph form.
Variation sequences preserve glyph distinctions in plain text without encoding every form separately. Han characters are Chinese-origin characters used in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean writing. Adobe-Japan1, the first IVD collection, registered 2007-12-14 for Japanese font variants. Moji_Joho, registered 2014-05-16, records forms needed in Japanese government administration.
Only a registered pair requests a form. An unregistered or unsupported pair leaves the base character unchanged; the selector stays invisible.

Questions people ask
1Why does 󠆆 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Variation Selectors Supplement block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
