Google+ and Orkut Symbols

So what do you think about the new "Google+"? I think they definately have a strong potential. I like the way Google combined many of it's services into a single, although, just like it happened with Facebook, not very clear and structured thing. They might have needed a bit more planning at the beginning. It's a lot like what happened to my websites. I didn't plan what I was going to do at the very beginning - I thought something like "I'll see what happens". It's a great way to not waste time on bad ideas. If it won't work - just forget it. If it will work - we'll see what we can do with that. But, just like Google, I ended up in a lot of mess. Although I'm really happy even with what I have right now, if I spent few more weeks planning before beginning to work on FSymbols it would look a lot better.

But, of course, just like I didn't imagine that I will have all of the stuff I have here when I started FSymbols, Google didn't even dream they would make a Google plus social network back in their beginnings! Although, they already had their Orkut which is still popular. As far as I've seen their statistics, Orkut is still more popular than Google+. But they've decided to move on to G+, so they're "helping" people tranport themselves to Google+ from Orkut.

It's obvious, that Google should only have a single network, so it's obvious that in the future, all Orkut users will move on to Google+. There is no big reason for them to spend time and resources on developing and advertising both social networks and a very good one for unification. So that's a good policy of theirs.
