What ᭕ means

It means five. Carik punctuation can frame number strings so letter-like forms read as numerals.

Manuscript colophons—brief notes at a manuscript’s end—use numerals for dates.

Balinese writing appears on Buddhist clay tablets from the 8th century. The earliest recovered Old Balinese inscription dates to 882; Blanjong to 914. After 994, inscriptions used Old Javanese instead of Old Balinese. Later, Balinese script appeared on lontar (palm-leaf manuscripts), temple notices and public signs. Balinese and Javanese scripts connect through Kawi, a historical writing tradition.
