balinese windu

Balinese Windu

Windu ᭜ marks the end of a Balinese text section, usually as the center of a punctuation trio. In pasalinan ᭟᭜᭟, the full sequence closes the section; ᭜ alone is not a full stop.

What ᭜ means

Read it with the surrounding signs. Windu by itself is not a period; the marks around it follow the section opener. ᭟᭜᭟ is one ending.

Why does ᭜ show as a box on some devices?

Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
