What 𖦿 means
It belongs to an earlier form of Bamum writing.
Phase E is one step in the script’s history; Phase G is the modern form. The labels distinguish versions of one writing system, not different languages. For a historical text, use a transcription for its phase instead of guessing a sound from NGGEUAE.
How did Bamum writing change?
It was developed to write the Bamum language of western Cameroon.
King Ibrahim Njoya’s early plan used logograms—signs for objects and actions—as a memory aid, not a direct record of speech. Later revisions led to the A-ka-u-ku syllabary, whose signs represent spoken syllables.

Questions people ask
1Why does 𖦿 show as a box on some devices?
Because that device's fonts have no glyph for it. The character is still correct and still copies correctly — the box is a missing glyph, not a broken character.
