What 𛰹 means
Use an installed Duployan layout that includes the letter.
A basic Duployan layout exists, but language-specific layouts may omit some characters. Duployan letters can join in text. Without joining support, a font or app may show this letter unjoined or as a fallback form; that changes its appearance, not its value.
What does 𛰹 represent?
It is the Duployan shorthand letter for the “wh” consonant. It functions inside a shorthand spelling rather than as a word on its own.
Émile Duployé published the system for writing French in shorthand in 1860. It was later adapted for English, German, Spanish, and Romanian. In interior British Columbia, Canada, Jean-Marie-Raphaël LeJeune adapted it as a primary writing system for several languages of First Nations communities, the Indigenous peoples of Canada. The Kamloops Wawa, a Chinook Jargon newsletter, records that use from 1891–1923. These adaptations are distinct language-specific writing traditions, not one universal alphabet.
This is a specialist shorthand letter; its value depends on the Duployan adaptation in use.

1Questions people ask
1Why does 𛰹 show as a box on some devices?
Not every system ships a font for the Duployan block. Where none is installed, the character shows as an empty box; adding a font such as Noto fixes it. The character itself is still correct and copies correctly.
