What 앪 means
The word containing it gives the syllable its meaning. 앪 is one Hangul syllable block made from initial ㅇ, vowel ㅐ, and final ㄻ. These Hangul letters, called jamo, combine in one block rather than appearing as three separate syllables.
Hangul was created in 1443; its purpose and principles were explained in 1446. It gave Korean a writing system organized around Korean speech, which borrowed Chinese writing did not fit well. Many people also found it difficult to express themselves in writing.
